Mr. Man took his first steps unassisted on Oct. 30. We grabbed the second attempt on video. After he fell and after he couldn’t get up again unassisted he decided to have himself a little tantrum over it. Unfortunately, he forgot there was a wall nearby…

He’s quite a little dude with a mind of his own. He had himself a little snit when he couldn’t stand back up after falling. Sigh, our days are filled with these now. 🙂

Ha ha ha! Too funny. First steps are so exciting!
Unrelatedly, any chance you were in West Seattle recently? I followed saw a car with a “Heligirl” license plate just a block from my house and wanted to get out and see if it was you! But I was late, and it was raining, so I did not. Ha!

Hey Kristin! Thanks for stopping by! Someone is driving around West Seattle with a license plate with my name on it? Fascinating…
First off, how great is this kid that HE laughed too?? Fantastic memories in the making right there! Also, so glad you came by to play along, sadly, I’ve been neglecting my bloggy friends lately, & have missed you my dear! Did I hear the hubs say 17 mnths?? I ask because it made me think of my FOURTH child…she was so late on everything, I took her to a specialist just to rule out a problem….turned out, I was right, she was just so spoiled by the 5 of us that she had no need to walk or talk, there was always someone ready to jump for her at any given second lol

Oh darling, thank you for stopping by and honoring me with your visit. 🙂 Yes, Hubby did say 17 months. We were getting a little worried. He’d started crawling later than Sweetness and then walking later. He’s later at talking than her too. Some tell me it’s because he’s a boy (but some of Sweetness’s guy pals her age were talking before her). Some say it’s because he has an older sib. Oh well. When he decided to do it, he did it. His fine motor skills are far advanced to his pals and what his sister’s were at 18 months, so he just focused on other things. I think he is talking a bit. I don’t understand some of it, but his sister actually translates. It’s a lot of fun, these two. Miss you my mayor!
This was cute enough to watch twice 🙂

Thanks. He’s quite the little ham.
Soooo cute! Thanks for sharing! Our little guy’s taking his sweet time as well. Sixteen months and still pretty much NO interest in walking. A few days ago, he took a step but he hasn’t repeated the feat. But I figure: how many adults do you see crawling to work on all fours? Meaning, eventually we pretty much all cotton on, right? : )

Thanks Kate. Mr. Man took that step around 16 months too and then nothing for weeks. Not even cruising. Yes, I put a lot of faith in the belief they don’t go to high school on all fours … or in diapers.
